I spoke with some of my colleagues and they feel it's too soon to tell. Personally, right now I would prefer to focus on JBI components first where possible and fall back to OSGi components if necessary. The main reason is simply to build within a spec so you can port to other JBI containers if necessary.

Thanks!
RodRod Bireschhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06547791022967979648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8061743095751024579.post-62944634980190845572008-10-01T22:09:00.000-04:002008-10-01T22:09:00.000-04:00Hi Rod,Thanks for making this post, it clarified s...Hi Rod,

Thanks for making this post, it clarified some stuff to me also.

There is one thing that I'm not quite clear yet. In terms of building a component (or an endpoint just to say) what would be the de-facto standard? JBI or OSGI? Let's say I want to build a web service endpoint. I know that I can have JBI with cxf-bc, cxf-se, NMR, etc but I know I can have an OSGI based CXF. What is the normal way of building them now? is it JBI?

Cheers,

Eduardo Burgos
http://www.eduardoburgos.com/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
